- China - 1870. Boxer rebellion. World War 1. China - 1924. Manchuria. Emphasises the role of Russian and Soviet help in the career of Sun Yat-Sen and emphasises the history of Sino-Soviet friendship. There is a very brief sequence showing the Soviet armies in action against the Japanese in Manchuria in August 1945. Archive film, still photographs and paintings are used in the compilation.*
