Synopsis

An introduction to land law in the form of a situation comedy. It outlines the procedures in, and legal implications of, buying a house, illustrating the conveyancing process as the practical application of land law, and introducing the concepts of certain third-party rights over land, such as easements, restrictive covenants and rights under the Matrimonial Homes Act 1967. Historical flashbacks introduce the law on transfer of land and compare the process under the registered and unregistered systems.
