About the Christchurch Bay Tower marine data facility, by means of which forces on offshore structures can be investigated. Deals with the construction of the steel structure and its massive base, transport of the tower to its site in the English Channel, sensors and other equipment on board and in the sea nearby. Covers the sophisticated data processing systems on board, tower to shore communications and the facilities for monitoring data at shore stations.
