Synopsis: Sergei Eisenstein’s first film, portraying a 1912 strike of factory workers which is brutally put down by the authorities.

The version released in 2012 by Moviemail in the Classic Russian Cinema series is in the Hyperkino format which includes one disc of the best available print of the standard film with optional subtitles, and a second disc containing the film plus numerous scene-specific annotations, video clips and documents (in Russian and English)
