- Phase contrast, time-lapse cinemicrography shows formation of microcolonies from single cells; shows the way the cells divide in planes at angles to each other resulting in the formation of the typical grape-like clusters. Other sequences show the production of a haemolysis zone in blood agar by outward diffusion of haemolysin. An Encyclopaedia Cinematographica film.
