Between the Lines
- Synopsis
- In the Portuguese colony of Mozambique in 1971 the war for independence was in its eighth year. The guerrilla forces of the Mozambique Liberation Front, Frelimo, held about a fifth of the country which formed a base for their struggle against the Portuguese regular army. Sequences of library film and newsreel set the context of the struggle but the film is concerned mainly with the day-to-day life of the guerrillas and the villagers among whom they live.
