- Explains the operation of an ICL DRS Series microcomputer-based maternity data collection system conforming to the requirements of the Standard Maternity Information System. Demonstrates a pilot scheme of networked microcomputers collecting birth data and simultaneously providing online patient enquiry and clinic diaries. The system provides all data required by the Korner Committee. Weekly transfers of data via modem update the District Regional mainframe ICL 2900.
