Stamey Endoscopic Bladder Neck Suspension and Posterior Colpoperineorrhaphy

Synopsis
Demonstrated the surgeons own modification of the Stamey bladder neck suspension in a patient with urodynamically proven genuine stress incontinence. The procedure is best suited to those patients where the vaginal capacity and mobility is significantly restricted (by previous surgery, atrophy or radiation) or where pre-operative voiding characteristics suggest that other procedures might result in prolonged urinary retention. This particular patient also had a moderate rectocele and posterior colpoperineorrhaphy was undertaken. The sound track contains the surgeon’s description of the operation, and responses to questions from the audience. Recorded at the Conference on Advanced Gynaecological Surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, 14 April 1993.
