Spirit of Stone

Synopsis
Describes the efforts being made to decipher the meaning and determine the dates of the Peterboro petroglyphs at Stoney Lake, Canada. It is the largest glyph site in eastern North America featuring hundreds of designs of hunters, birds, spirits and animals. Contributors include Professors Ron and Joan Vastokas of Trent University, anthropologist Selwyn Dewdney, and Gladys Taylor of the Curve Lake Indian Reserve, who is an authority on shamanism and Indian religion.
