Synopsis
Shows the erection, commissioning and first steps of the Middle East’s largest walking dragline - a Ransomes & Rapier W2000. The 1783-ton machine is being used to remove overburden for the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company. The 2nd stage of the contract, removal of 21 million cubic metres of rock overburden by the dragline to expose phosphate deposits, takes place at El Hassa.
