Somalia: Fishing for Change

Synopsis

Reports on the International Committee of the Red Cross/Somali Red Crescent Coastal Fisheries Training Programme, which is helping to boost the local fishing industry in Somalia. Features some of the 400 trainee fishermen from villages and towns along the coast who are taking part in the four-month programme. Skills being taught include how to use fishing nets, handdle boats and preserve the catch.
