Synopsis
Follows efforts to find a cure for fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, a rare disease which causes the body’s muscles and ligaments to turn to solid bone. Suffers can end up fused in a standing position so rigid that they must sleep leaning in a corner. If their jaws fuse shut, they may die from starvation.
