Sizwe Bansi is Dead

Synopsis
A live performance of Athol Fugards’ short play, done in collaboration with John Kani and Winston Ntshona, staged at the Royal Court Theatre in 1974, which is a ‘tour de force’ about repressive laws in South Africa. This production begins after the first monologue and continues to the play’s end, and captures the humour, irony and anger of the innovatively staged original production. Introduced by Jose Ferrer; with readings by Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee.
