Synopsis
Documents the 1991 re-creation by British artists Gilbert and George of their ‘the Singing Sculpture’ to mark the 20th anniversary of the original performance in New York’s Sonnabend Gallery. They stand on a table and sing ‘Underneath the Arches’ repeatedly as they move to the music. They discuss the ideas behind the work and their goal of creating a demoncrat art involving real life.
