Silent Speech

Synopsis
A study of non-verbal communication among a group of children from 18 months to 3 years of age who spend eight hours per weekday in a French crèche. Professor Hubert Montagher, a biologist, through filming the interaction, has discovered a correlation between the child’s behaviour and the attitude of the mother towards her child. He has also discovered that physiological changes in the mother - the level of hormones - are mirrored in the child. The personality of the child is also related to the parents’ use of their limited time with the child.
