Shout It out - Sue Torr’s Story

Synopsis
An autobiographical play by Sue Torr, a previously illiterate divorced mother and school-dinner lady, who turned an account of what it was like to be illiterate into a radio play and founded the Shout It Out learning project, which has links with the Plymouth College of Further Education and the University College of St Mark and St John. Through her own experience of not learning to read until she was forty, she explores the problems surrounding adult literacy and hopes to inspire others to overcome their difficulties.
