Should I Be Telling You This? Some Thoughts on Confidentiality

Synopsis
Introduction to confidentiality both in terms of the Data Protection Act (1984) an in the broader sense that any information about patients and staff is confidential. A dramatisation is set in a courtroom where a wide cross-section of hospital staff accused of various ‘crimes’ are tried, and amusing vignettes culminate in a no-nonsense summing up by the judges who stresses the painful the consequences of flouting the rules of confidentiality.
