Shakey: An Experiment in Robot Planning and Learning

Synopsis
Shows the progress of an experiment in getting a robot to plan how to achieve a new task in terms of its existing abilities. The plan, which in this case is to push a wooden cube in front of a doorway to block it, is then executed and the task achieved. The way in which plans can be remembered and become new abilities is shown. The robot is programmed using a PDP 10 computer.
