Synopsis
Records the activity of bell ringing. Scenes show the use of the bell to announce impending church services. Shows the working of bells in detail, in particular the trajectory on the swing of the bell. A vicar is interviewed about his belief in the importance of maintaining a bell-ringing facility to call people to church. Other scenes show bell ringing in a different form - the teaching of hand-bell ringing in a local pub. The publican is interviewed. Filmed in July 1992.
