Sewage Treatment
- Synopsis
- Looks at three sewage treatment plants in the Midlands. Examines in detail at the processes of a conventional sewage works, the large treatment plant at Minworth, following the process from the inlet at Minworth through to the discharge of the treated effluent in the River Tame. A medium-sized treatment works at Barston illustrates alternative or different processes, in particular tertiary treatment. The Spinney, a small, rural, unmanned sewage works, shows a Rotating Biological Contactor (RVC) and reed-bed tertiary treatment.
