Part of a course consisting of 3 broadcasts and 7 study packs, all relating to different aspects of contemporary France. Each study pack consists of a videocassette, 2 audiocassettes, a transcript booklet, a set of notes on language and style, and a pack guide. This pack focuses on the fifth theme of the course, science and technology in France. It giveds a profile of a science museum in Paris and two oceanography museums in Brittany, and takes a look at French traditions of scientific endeavour.
