San Francesco, Rimini: Il Tempio Malatestiano
- Synopsis
- Sigismondo Malatesta, successful soldier and self-proclaimed prince, undertook the rebuilding of the existing Gothic church of San Francesco, Rimini, into a new classical-style mausoleum for himself and his family. Although never completed, the design of the exterior was the first architectural commission of the Florentine, Leon Battista Alberti. The interior is matched by sumptous carved marble reliefs by Agostino di Duccio decorating the tombs, side chapels and sacristies. Explains both the complex building history of the church and interprets some of the unusual imagery found inside.

At present the Open University Students Association (OUSA) will continue to sell the "Good Study Guide", and we are in discussion with other possible distributors to continue to make The Open University’s products available for purchase. As soon as we have any information on other channels of distribution we will update this notice’. Some products are still available via second hand dealers on Amazon.co.uk
