Synopsis

The Tsao Tung Farmers Association typifies rural co-operatives in Taiwan. It is the centre of social, leisure and economic activities for the ,600 families who own the co-operative and rely on it for services ranging from irrigation, provision of seeds and fertilisers, farm implements to crop storage and marketing.
