South Wales miners and their families on their annual holiday in Trecco Bay discuss their history, the General Election of 1983, the forecast pit closures, the Falklands War, and the future and past of South Wales. These remininscences and reflections provide inescapabale clues to the forthcoming 1984-85 miners’ strike.
