- Synopsis
- An exposition of sea shore zonation as taught to first year zoology students at the Dove Marine Laboratory, University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Photographed on a stretch of rocky coastline exposed to the North Sea, the film explains the conditions of life on the lower and upper shores and examines the characteristic animal and plant life in this physically adverse environment.
