Robots in Industry
- Synopsis
- Robots in industry are often thought of as a substitute for men, rather than as a valuable aid to them. Stresses the point that robots are content to work in surroundings that men are increasingly unwilling to accept, such as paint spraying, heavy lifting, monotonous jobs. Five firms who are now using robots are featured and management, engineers, workers and a trade unionist give their views on how robots help their firms increase production and how they enable industry to adapt and survive in a changing environment.*
