Rights of the Child, The

Synopsis

In 1959 the United Nations published a declaration that all children had the same set of basic rights. Thirty years later the nations of the world signed an agreement giving these rights legal force. This video shows the systematic violation of children’s human rights throughout the world and explains the survival, protection and development rights set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
