Right Spirit, The

Synopsis
Propaganda cartoon film in support of Stanley Baldwin, made for the Conservative Party. John Bull brings his car to MacDonald & Co, a broken-down garage, and is given a mixture of petrols labelled ‘Increased taxes’, ‘Foreign dumping’, and ‘Doles instead of wages’. On his way again, John Bull’s car soon breaks down and he decides to go to MacDonald’s neighbour Lloyd George & Co. Lloyd George cannot help. Finally John Bull gets satisfaction from ‘Prosperity Garage’ where the owner, Mr. Baldwin, fills his car with a mixture of three petrols labelled ‘Safe-guarding’, ‘Empire unity’ and ‘Reduced taxes’.*
