Reality Orientation (2 Parts)

Synopsis
1: Explains 24-hour reality orientation, which is particularly relevant to the person in hospital or nursing home. All staff are involved in reminding the person of his whereabouts and the reality of his day-to-day existence. There is emphasis on the use of memory aids such as clocks, calendars, newspapers and large descriptive notices.
2: Describes the planning and execution of small group reality orientation sessions. Shows the use of simple items related to current reality: memory games, jigsaws, discussions. This programme is perhaps more relevant to the day centre or day hospital.
