Synopsis
Based on a research project at Portsmouth which has been designed to investigate the extent and significance of reading skills in pre-school Down’s syndrome children. Illustrates the extent of the reading skills of the project children, the methods used to teach them and how to develop more advanced fluent reading from early flashcard work. The programme has no commentary and illustrates the project’s teaching methods rather than being intended as a self-contained presentation.
