- A multimedia resource providing a detailed study of the functional relationship among organ systems in the rat, from gross morphology to microscopic detail. It also allows the user to explore and identify the biological features of evolutionary significance that determine the position of mammals and other classes within the vertebrate kingdom. In three main sections: introduction, classification of the vertebrates, and functional anatomy. Allows the user to explore the major organ systems (digestive, circulatory and respiratory, urogenital, sense organs and the brain, the skeleton) from three perspectives: physiology, histology and anatomy.
