Synopsis
Made in conjunction with SENSE, the national Deaf-Blind Rubella Association, this video is about Usher Syndrome, a condition that affects some deaf people causing night blindness and loss of peripheral vision. It is a major cause of deaf-blindness in th United Kingdom. The video examines the lives of four people who have Usher Syndrome and shows what has happened to them at school, college, work and within the family as they come to realise how the condition affects them. Both sign language and subtitles are used throughout the video.
