Quest for the Lost Civilisation (3 Parts)
- Synopsis
- Writer Graham Hancock on a global search for evidence to prove this theory that the Nazcan civilisation existed some 10,000 years ago and remains of its legacy are still evident.
1: Hancock travels to Egypt to show that the pyramids were built as mirror reflections of the stellar constellations, in an attempt to prove that astronomy was known to the ancient Egyptians.
2: Speculates on the source of astronomical knowledge as seen observed in the Nazca lines in the Peruvian desert, the pyramids at Giza, the temples at Angkor in Cambodia, ancient stones at Stonehenge and in the Hebrides, and the monuments in Mexico left by the Maya and their descendants.
3: Speculates on the origins of the giant heads on Easter Island and a huge submerged structure off a Japanese island. Asks if there is a connection with a catastrophic swift flood and hypothesises that the survivors of the flood became mariners, building up new network of sites to keep in touch and pass on a legacy. - Language
