Synopsis
In 1969 research trials involving psychedelic drugs were banned following the Charles Manson killings, curtailing work in psychiatry relating alcohol and drug addiction treatment, schizophrenia and human creativity. American scientists are struggling to make LSD research respectable again, but the abuse of psychedelic drugs among young people is on the increase.
