Synopsis
CAL module on the basics of invertebrate palaeontology, concerned solely with the phylum ‘Mollusca’ and incorporating a large number of images of fossils. The aim is to introduce the ideal of the organisms ‘behind’ the fossil, how they lived and what they looked like, comparing them with their modern relatives. Approximately 4 hours of teaching material, intended to complement lectures and practicals.
