Prestige Lecture

Synopsis
The first Prestige Lecture, recorded at the University of Surrey in 1992, in which Sir Crispin Tickell of Green College, Oxford, examines the past, present and future relationship between changing climate and human society, tracing conditions from the ‘hypothermal era’ 10,000 years ago to the year 1990, the warmest since records began, in an attempt to determine whether the climate has shaped us, or it is we who have shaped our climate.
