Synopsis
Following a dramatisation of what not to do in a counselling session, a series of vignettes focus on specific techniques for interviewing clients. Based on social-learning theory, the five basic skills - listening, reflecting, questioning, expressing, and interpreting - are taught in separate segments that progress from basic to complex situations. Concludes with a complete session integrating all these counselling skills.
