Synopsis
A video compilation about the Liverpool dockers’ dispute begun in September 1995.
1 (18 min): Women’s support for the strikers, as Women On the Waterfront (WOW) face icy blizzards and police on the picket line, surviving with wit and camaraderie.
2 (22 min): Longshore workers from around the world meet the Liverpool dockers and the WOW at the dock gate, giving birth to an international dockers’ movement.
3 (27 min): A cabaret performance humorously illustrating the dockers’ solidarity.
4 (12 min): The involvement of environmental activists from the ‘Reclaim the Streets’ movement.
