Synopsis

Looks at the international trade in primates for research, highlighting the responsibility of airlines in carrying these animals. Undercover footage shows the poor conditions in European laboratories for which the animals are destined, often contravening European Union guidelines. Argues the need for an urgent review into the supply, transport and housing conditions of primates in Europe, and for a strategy to reduce and eventually eliminate the use of primates in research.
