Images of Rome taken from an original copy of ‘Le Antichita Romane di Gianbatista Piranesi Archietto Veneziano’ published in 1756 - Piranesi’s unique testimony to the ancient civilisation of Rome, drawn from the evidence he saw around him every day. The study was published in 1756 and is now part of the Manchester Society of Architects’ collection.
