- Synopsis
- Follows a elderly, devout couple as they endure blistering heat, bitter cold and unforgiving terrain on a pilgrimage to the shrine of their saint and idol, the 13th-century Sheikh Husein. They make to arduous six-day journey to bring gifts of money and food they can scarely afford to the shrine and, in return, are mercilessly fleeced by its attendants.
