Synopsis
To mark the 500th aniversary of Piero’s death, art historians and contemporary artists try to unravel some of the hidden meanings behind Piero della Francesca’s work and chart his pioneering use of perspective. Contributors include the painter Tom Phillips, composer Sir Harrison Birtwistle, writer John Mortimer, and art experts Sir John Pope Hennessy, Professor Martin Kemp, Professor B A R Carter, Professor Marilyn Lavin and Nicholas Penny.
