Photosynthesis: Oxygen Production: Factors Chlorophyll and Carbon Dioxide

Synopsis
Blue indigocarmine solution titrated with dithionite is yellow at the mid point. The solution oxidizes and turns blue (indication of oxygen). Determination or photosynthesis location in immersed plants: it occurs only in the region or leaves, never in the chlorophyll-free roots or flowers. Experiment to show the photosynthetic activity’s (oxygen formation) dependence on the concentration of carbon diioxide and bicarbonate (limiting factors).
