Phenotypic and Functional Analysis of Lymphocyte Populations

Synopsis
Describes in detail the fluorescent antibody method for enumerating lymphocyte sub-populations defined by monoclonal antibodies. Ultra-violet microscopy and flow cytometry are used as a means of assessing fluoresescent cells. Mitogen-induced DNA synthesis is also described as one way of determining the functional capacity of T/B cells.
