Synopsis
A computer simulation of experiments for demonstrating the effects of pharmacological agents on the cutaneous inflammatory response in the anaesthestised rabbit. The program uses data obtained from actual experiments. Introductory material describes animal preparation, the methods employed to measure oedema formation and neutrophil accumulation, and provides background inforomation. The experiments allow the study of the effects of various agents on oedema formation in normal rabbits. Also includes a section describing the results of selected experiments on sensitised rabbits and covers the IgG and IgE response.
