Peter Foggo: Broadgate

Synopsis
Using slides as illustrations, Peter Foggo talks of the pressures of designing and building the Broadgate complex. Broadgate is the largest and most prestigious office development by one developer in the City of London. It absorbs an expanded Liverpool Street Station. The architects were Arup Associates with partner Peter Foggo leading the team. The scheme, completed in four years, includes the City’s first modern public square, inaugurated in 1988 by the Prince of Wales. It includes shops, restaurants and public facilities on many interlocking levels.
