Peruca Dam Blasting

Synopsis
Illustrates how experts averted a disaster when the rockfill Peruca Dam in Croatia was occupied and explosive charges were placed in the inspection galleries on 17 September 1991. The water level was allowed to rise to the maximum limit, making the dam a potential weapon of destruction, threatening to flood and kill 30,000 people.
