Perception and Communication. Part 3: The Wider Context

Subtitle
Wider context, The
Synopsis
In this programme Dr Abercrombie looks at very generalised contextual factors which may affect the way we view things. Feelings can alter the way we form our hypotheses. The most important part of the general context is other people, and our feelings about them. Our relationships with them are heavily influenced by our earliest days. Faces are fundamentally important: normal children prefer looking at faces to anything else, and a symptom of autism is a refusal to look at them. Artists have been continually preoccupied with faces.
