Peck Order in Chickens
- Synopsis
- A demonstration of linear peck order in domestic chickens and the subsequent social stability which results when each bird comes to know its place in the social hierarchy. Five previously unacquainted chickens are assembled into a flock and each key encounter between all of the possible pairs of birds is shown so that finally the complete social structure of the group becomes clear.
