Synopsis

2: Follows the theme of links between technology and health to air pollution. Shows how petrol and diesel engines in town are responsible for pollutants such as carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, and ozone. Looks at a trial of electrical powered cars in La Rochelle, France, showing the technical makeup of the cars, and interviews with users and project engineers. Although there is no pollution emitted within the town there are implications for power stations and electricity generators.
